Overview
Fully incubated within IAG’s Firemark in 2019, Cyber A360 (CA360) is the first corporate venture into the cyber insurance space.

In late 2020, we have successfully implemented a closed-door test and learn with our local underwriting partner — ERGO. With the ERGO’s brokers network, we are able to close 4 deals in the first month of launch. Moreover, Cyber A360 were able to gain trust and recognition from fellow insurance giant such as Munich RE, Enterprise SG(SG) SG Innovate(SG), AustCyber(AU) and Austrade(AU) remained a close partner to this date.

Hand-hold users throughout the whole process
We understand that this new product can sound complicated to users. Therefore, we try to provide our best support to our users at different touch points.

Firstly, we lay out the coverage and what we do not cover on our website in concise information to help the user build confidence in our product. Next, a quick risk assessment questionnaire to understand their current cybersecurity situation to help them make an informed decision. Lastly, we included the FAQs and support from our agents to provide a catered experience.

Get quick cyber insurance quote in 30 min
Through the enablement of digitalisation and integration with a whole range of partners and micro-services, we were able to reduce the time needed for insurance quote generation from 3 to 4 days to 30 minutes while still mitigating the risk of bad debts to us. Customers are then able to get immediate coverage.

One-stop holistic cyber service to meet user needs
Aside for selling insurance, we want to value-add to our customers by helping them understand their online vulnerability assessment (Upguard), Backup and End-point protection (Acronis) and also providing cyber education and awareness training (RHCS).

Key Solutions

Onboarding
Registering an account with Cyber A360 users will need their company name and UEN number. We have integrated ACRA API in the backend to verify if the company exist. If the company is valid the UEN will be pre-filled.
Questionnaire
The original questionnaire has over a hundred questions. By redefining with the subject matter expert, we have reduced the questions to under 30 by separating them into two flows based on the user’s answers.

The user might still get overwhelmed by the 30 questions hence, we split up the complex questions into multiple smaller sections and pages. To reduce user cognitive load and help users to navigate around faster. There are also progress indicators to provide the process of user action.
Risk assessment result & insurance plans
One of the challenges we faced designing this page is how can we promote cyber security training to the user. We have done a few quick testing with users and eventually settled with this design. A section was created in the cards, highlighting the cyber security training. Once selected, the discounted price will be reflected.
Checkout page
On this checkout page, users are able to review their selection and make changes. We have selected Braintree as our partner for payment gateway using the common payment method that users are familiar with.
Desgn System

Design System & Collaboration with Developer

For Cyber A360, we are using Ant design system as a base to build our components. I am tasked to walk the developers through the style guide, components library and whenever we have completed our hifi design.I work closely with the developers and QA tester to provide timely support and clarification on the design.
Testing

QA Tester &
Bugs Catching

A significant time was allocated for testing our MVP before the launch. We have tested in 3 environment, DEV, UAT and PROD. My roles was to check if the design are in place, are the platform function correctly and if I have found any bugs. Then I will need to log  tickets for developer to make the changes. I also work closely with the QA lead who provide us with a test plan.
